Two Suffolk County dining destinations have landed on one of the restaurant industry’s most closely watched lists — and they’re practically neighbors.
Del Vino Vineyards and The Northport Hotel have both been named to OpenTable’s Top 100 Brunch Restaurants in the United States for 2026, standing as the only Long Island establishments to earn placement on the list this year.
The dual recognition is notable on its own — but even more remarkable is the geography. The two honorees sit just 1.8 miles apart in Northport.
The annual list is compiled from more than 10 million verified diner reviews on OpenTable, factoring in ratings, reservation demand and the volume of five-star experiences.
Only restaurants with consistent brunch service and a strong base of customer feedback are considered, making the honor a reflection of sustained guest satisfaction rather than a one-time accolade.
The 100 on the list are ranked in no particular order.
Mutual admiration
At The Northport Hotel, brunch is driven by a refined, chef-led approach under executive chef Michael Ross, whose decades-long career on Long Island informs a menu centered on premium seafood, steaks and seasonal offerings rooted in regional ingredients.
Less than two miles away, Del Vino Vineyards offers a different, but complementary, experience. Executive chef Massimo Coscia, a Florence native, leans into traditional Italian techniques and from-scratch cooking, pairing dishes with the vineyard’s estate wines for a more immersive, Old World-inspired brunch.
Rather than competing, the two establishments have developed a symbiotic presence in Northport’s dining scene, often drawing visitors who make a day of it — brunch at one, followed by wine, dinner or an afternoon stop at the other.
