After 16 years co-hosting the WALK-FM morning show, radio veteran Cindy Clifford has launched a podcast called “It’s me, Cindy.”
“The podcast gives me the perfect way to continue to connect and share fun facts, observations and adventures without having to get up early,” Clifford said. “During my time on the air, I did countless interviews — as everyone from Billy Joel to Tim Gunn was promoting a tour, album, book or show.
“But I’ve always been way more interested in who people are and how they got here, rather than just what they’re doing.”
As part of the podcast, which launched in August, she’s undertaken a new segment called, “It’s me, with …” that focuses entirely on interview subjects.
This week’s guest was none other than Greater Long Island Media Group’s own founder and editorial director, Michael White, who got to share his story.
“What a pleasure it was being interviewed by Cindy Clifford, who is an absolute pro,” White said. “It was also very cool to be on the other side of the interview table.”
Through “It’s me, with … ” Clifford said she’s looking to “dig a little deeper into sometimes challenging, oftentimes inspiring and always fascinating lives.
“It’s going to be loads of fun.”
