Scenes from the annual Bay Fest at Great South Bay Brewery

|

A little rain — and at times a lot of rain — wasn’t going to stop the crowds from flocking to the Great South Bay Brewery‘s annual Bay Fest in Bay Shore.

“This was the worst forecast we ever had but we actually sold more tickets than last year,” said the brewery’s owner and founder, Rick Sobotka.

Saturday actually marked the biggest Bay Fest since its inception six years ago.

Last year there were about 28 breweries that participated, and this year there were about 40.

“It gets bigger and better every year,” said Sobotka.

With plenty of craft beer on hand, as well as vendors selling clothes, food, and cigars.
