Shuttered: Cool Beans coffee house bids farewell to West Sayville

|

Cool Beans Coffee Shoppe in West Sayville served its last lattes on Tuesday, and then brewed its final goodbyes before the day was out.

The café officially ended its three-year run next to the West Sayville Post Office on Washington Avenue and is now closed for good.

Owner Patrick Brennan held a closing sale in the shop’s final days, offering 35 percent off of everything in the store. And tonight on social media he bid a Cool Beans farewell to the community.

Cool Beans West Sayville is now closed for good. We have cleaned out the store. Thank you all for your great support over the years,” Brennan said. “And I will let everyone know where the re location will be very soon. Thank you so much everyone.”

Brennan first announced in October that Cool Beans would close in November and that he would possibly relocate to another community. But the property landlord’s deal with a new tenant fell through and Brennan decided to remain open for two more months.

It’s unclear where or when Brennan will operate his next coffee shop venture.

Brennan and Vincent Pezzuto opened Cool Beans in August 2021, but Brennan eventually became the sole owner of the business.
