The price of Long Island’s most famous zero-bedroom home keeps getting smaller.
The 451-square-foot Selden house that lit up the internet earlier this year received another price cut Monday, dropping its asking price to $274,500.
That is $54,500 less than the original $329,000 asking price for the tiny home at 84 Wyona Avenue.
The latest reduction marks the second time the price has been lowered as the unusual listing continues its search for a buyer.
The home previously went under contract for more than $300,000, listing agent Denise Beckman of HomeSmart Dynamic Realty told Greater Long Island. It even appraised at the contracted price.
But the deal fell apart during financing, sending the house back onto the market.
The home’s “zero-bedroom” designation quickly turned the listing into an online punchline, drawing more than 100,000 readers to Greater Long Island and later attracting attention from People, the New York Post and Yahoo News.
But Beckman has maintained that the home’s price reflects the difficult reality facing buyers looking for an affordable place to live on Long Island.
“Where are you going to live on Long Island cheaper than that?” Beckman previously said, noting that the property’s taxes are roughly $312 per month.
The zero-bedroom description is not just a clever marketing trick.
Beckman said the home’s sleeping area cannot legally be listed as a bedroom because it must be walked through “like a train.” The finished basement also falls short of legal bedroom standards because its ceiling is about six inches too low.
When Beckman entered the home into OneKey MLS, there was no option to classify it as a studio.

“It only accepted numbers,” she previously said. “So I had to type zero. MLS gave me no choice.”
The home also includes one bathroom, a finished basement and a backyard storage shed.
