Rajkumarie Shivmangal was charged with false personation and unlicensed alcohol service after Saturday night investigation at Main Street Restaurant and Bar
The owner of a downtown Riverhead restaurant faces charges related to serving alcohol without a license to do so, police said following a inspection Saturday night at the establishment.
Rajkumarie Shivmangal, 43, of Southampton is charged with false personation and alcohol sale without a license — both misdemeanors — following a town code investigation at Main Street Restaurant and Bar, located at 300 E. Main St. in Riverhead, police said.
She is also accused of harboring numerous town and fire code violations.
Riverhead Police’s COPE Unit and Patrol Division, working with Riverhead Code Enforcement and the Riverhead Fire Marshal’s Office, carried out an inspection about 9:45 p.m. Officers found that the restaurant lacked the necessary State Liquor Authority permit.
Shivmangal was taken to Riverhead Police headquarters, where she was processed and released on a desk appearance ticket.
