Suffolk to impound illegal e-bikes under new law; no one under 16 can ride

Suffolk County will impound illegal e-bikes and issue fines up to $7,300 under a new law requiring helmets for all riders, banning operation by anyone under 16, and prohibiting Class 3 e-bikes countywide.
